The main directions of the faculty's work are the follows:

• in-service training of educational administrators and specialists of Ministry of Education, regional and Minsk municipal educational offices, Academy, regional in-service teacher-training Institutes of, pedagogical colleges and pedagogical schools, educational establishments of new type, and school teachers experimenter;
• retraining specialists of education in the following specialities, getting qualification of 'Teacher of Informatics', 'Teacher of English', 'Teacher of German'., 'Teacher of Belarusian Language and Literature';
• retraining specialists of education in 'Religious science' and getting certificate but not qualification.

On the basis of the faculty there is a magistrates as an initial form of scientific and pedagogical training of specialists

Study at the magistracy is carried out in the following specialities: general pedagogics, ethnopedagogics, corrective pedagogics, theory and methods of teaching Russian Language and Literature, theory and methods of teaching Belarusian Language and Literature, theory and methods of education, theory and methods of family education, theory and methods of pre-school education, pedagogical psychology, informational support of education.
