The main directions of the faculty's work are as follows:

• Continuous in-service training and retraining of administrators and specialists of pre-school education;
• Forming social and professional outlook
• Forestalling development of pedagogical and management personal capable to realize innovative reforms in pre-school system of education;
• Coordination of work with regional In-service Teacher Training Institutes, districts and municipal departments of education.

The faculty realizes in-service training and retraining of the following specialists of educational system:

• Organizers, inspectors, teacher trainers, municipal and regional departments of education, teacher trainers of regional In- Service Teacher Training Institutes;
• Principals of pre-school educational establishments;
• Deputy principals of pre-school educational establishments;
• Educators of experimental pre-school establishments realizing innovative technology.
