The chair was formed in 1992.

The main directions of the work of the chair are the following:

• in-service training of administrators and specialists of education in the sphere of psychological support of effectiveness of management and functioning of education;
• training on the basis of higher education and getting the second higher education and qualification 'psychologist';
• retraining on the basis of higher pedagogical education on speciality practical psychology in education;
• producing psychological component in in-service training of administrators and specialists of education in the frames of different specialized courses;

  Scientific research work:

  • psychological support of effective training; process of in-service administrators and specialists of education
  • theoretical and applied problems of social, pedagogical psychology and psychology of a person;
  • psychological support of qualimetria and monitoring of education;
  • curriculum-development support of the process of in-service administrator and specialists of education training and retraining.
  
  The main projects implementing on the chair:
  • training of psychologists on the basis of higher education and getting qualification 'psychologist' according to specializations:: social psychology, pedagogical psychology, practical psychology, psychologist of personality (2000 academic hours)
  • retraining of psychologists on the basis of higher education according to speciality practical psychologist in educational establishments (1440 academic hours)
  • courses of in-service practical psychologists of educational establishments training (144 academic hours);
  • specialized courses for psychologists on actual problems of psychodiagnostics , psychocorrection , psychological consulting , psychological education; separate problematic fields of general, social, pedagogic psychology and psychology of personality (72 academic hours);
  • author's courses of the head of the chair of psychology of Candidate of Psychology, Professor V.Yanchuk on actual problematic fields of psychological science and practice.
